Serving the Chinese Community in NZ

Digital scams continue to affect the Chinese community in New Zealand, while language and cultural barriers can make it difficult for Chinese-speaking residents to access the safety information they need. NZ Chinese Digital Safety & Anti-Scam Trust was established to address this gap — producing Chinese-language digital safety education content to help community members recognise risks and protect themselves.

We are a registered charity with Charities Services New Zealand (CC64883). All our public content and services are provided free of charge as a public good.

Verifiable Public-Benefit Work

As of July 2026, NZSAFE has completed and continues to maintain the following public work:

• Nine digital-safety and scam-prevention topics, each with a Chinese and English detail page, available free through our Scam Prevention Guides.
• An Official-source Guides section selecting information from diplomatic missions, Police and other authoritative organisations, with added verification and action notes for community readers.
• The YouTube education channel @NZCNSAFE, sharing Chinese-language digital-safety and scam-prevention content.
• A free scam risk detection service. Users can upload suspicious text messages, emails or chat screenshots to receive risk indicators and safety guidance. The service is privacy-focused, uploaded images are not stored, and results are provided for reference only.
• An interactive scam safety check using realistic New Zealand scam scenarios to help people understand their scam-safety habits and receive practical advice.
• Cloud computing and artificial intelligence technologies that support scam risk analysis services.
• Ongoing maintenance of bilingual web resources, privacy information, charity registration details and New Zealand support pathways, with no registration or payment required.
